Assistance Scheme for Establishment of Dairy Farm of 50 Dairy Cattle (Kankraj and Gir Cows) for Self-Employment through Animal Husbandry
Mandatory Component
- 2.8% interest subsidy will be available for a period of five years whichever is less for the purchase of livestock by the bank or the unit cost fixed by NABARD.
- Beneficiary is entitled to 50% of the cost of construction of the dairy farm as per the prescribed criteria or a maximum of Rs. 200,000 (five lakhs) whichever is less will be eligible for assistance.
- The breeder will have to take three years insurance of livestock at a time, for which a maximum of Rs. 150,000 / - will be eligible for assistance. Optional / optional component
- Rs. 30,000, for Fogger unit (unit cost Rs. 30,000 / -) at a maximum of Rs. 2,500 / - and a maximum of Rs. 2,50 / - will be available as assistance

Interest subsidy will be available only on loans obtained from the Reserve Bank approved financial institution / bank in the year 2021-22. In order to avail the benefits of this scheme, the pastoralist / self-help group has to apply on i-khedut portal after getting the loan approval from the Reserve Bank approved financial institution / bank.
